In the wake of this week’s release of the Iraq Study Group report, a bipartisan, independent document that makes the observation that the White House is having problems in Iraq, White Press secretary Tony Snow made the stunning announcement that he will hold his fingers in his ears during reporters’ questioning “until you guys tone it down a little bit,” because he sees the questioning as too pointed and too critical. “You have to understand, there is not just one side to these things. There’s also our side. That’s why I’m not going to listen till you start talking about things in a way the White House feels is acceptable.”

The White House later issued a clarification that Snow “may have been being a little bit of a baby.”
