In his speech today, President Bush was merciless with his critics.

“Some want us to lose in this war and for the terorrists to win, some want to call this ‘just for fun,’ and not a war, some say killers can be appeased. Some would have rather the Nazis over-run the United States in the 1940s, rather than standing up for freedom and what is right. Some would have appeased the Soviet Union, and we would all be saluting the Communist flag, reciting the Communist Manifesto, quoting Karl Marz, and speaking Russian right now. I would rather that we stand up and defend the cause of freedom, and fight for freedom in the world. The battle lines are clear.”
