Military unit to mutinee when assigned to sit for upcoming Bush speech on Iraq

Several military units are rebelling and threatening mutiny against their superior and commanding officers, who have assigned them to be at the base where President Bush will address the troops this weekend for one of his speeches on the state of the War in Iraq. Most have asked that they not be identified, but several higher ranking officers have protested publicly. Navy Rear Admiral Thomas Day said “Throw me in the stockade, court martial me, if you have to, as long as I don’t have to listen to that awful, insipid, jingoistic crap again.” Day’s unit was the one that sat for Bush’s last address to the troops.
