Critics savage Hillary Clinton for wearing white shoes after Labor Day
by Tom Toburn
Washington columnists David Broder, Joe Klein and George Will have unleashed blistering attacks on New York Senator and former First Lady Hillary Clinton, because she was seen in public wearing white shoes a day after Labor Day. “Shocking an disgraceful,” said Broder. “It is beyond inappropriate,” said Will in his on-line column, “and it says to the public ‘I have no concern for conventional mores and morality,’ and perhaps, ‘yes I’m a lesbian’.”
British press joined in, declaring this the most ghastly breach of decorum since the former Lady Diana wiped her upper lip with her dinner napkin in 1987.
