On the eve of a possible “no confidence” vote in the Seante regarding his tenure to date, Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld says that, by comparison, he is not so bad, and singled out secretary of State Condoleeza Rice as an official “isn’t so great either. You know, Condi is just as stubborn and contrarian,” he went on. “I don’t know why they only pick on me. Just put it in some context is what I say.”

Newly sporting the words “LOVE” and “HATE” tattood across his knuckles, evocative of “Night of the Hunter” era Robert Mitchum, Rumsfled asked that his remarks to reporters be off the record, but continued when that consent was not given.

“And you know, people are fine talking behind my back, like the generals do, but they don’t do it to Condi,” he said, “because frankly, they’re frightened about how she gets around the time of her cycles.”
