Cheney warns of “dire threat” posed by Lamont candidacy

At a fundraiser today, Vice President Dick Cheney challenged Connecticut Democratic primary winner Ned Lamont over his “hyperbolic anti war views,” and warned about the “clear and present danger” and “dire threat” that a Lamont candidacy represents.

“I shudder to think of the implications of greatly empowered Osama bin Laden operating out of one of the two Connecticut US Senate offices, just a hair’s breadth from the West Wing,” he told supporters.
