Tony Snow described an emerging White House consensus that the proposal to end the violence in the Middle East collapsed because of Bill Clinton. “I mean, did you hear this guy’s comments in public?” Snow said, referring to comments Clinton made that the White House should be engaged in peace negotiations. “Coming from a President. I mean, I realize he’s not the President now. Well some people who read the papers forget, or print it it up the wrong way…you guys know, with deadlines and all that.

“Well then jeez! I mean, this guy talking like that. It’s like giving up to our enemies. Why not get bon-bons and flowers for these guys? Why not be like Sally Field at the Academy Awards and say ‘thank God they like me’? Why not that?”
“I haven’t really followed the thing with Lebanon, but Bill Clinton should be killed and his entrails fed to a pack of wild dogs,” intoned mainstream commentator Michelle Malkin on Hannity and Colmes when asked about Snow’s comments. “Then his face should cease to be seen in the country ever again, and his name and ideas should be stricken from all public records.”
