Bush accuses Putin of seeing glass as half-empty regarding Democracy in Iraq

President Bush rebutted Russian president Vladimir Putin’s contention that he would not want democracy in Russia to look like the emerging democracy in Iraq. A day after Putin made his comments, Bush said, “You know, Vlad, a lot of people see the glass as half empty in Iraq. I see it as half full. Or, said another way, there’s a quote: some people see the world the way things could be and say, ‘Why not?’ I see things the way they are and say, ‘Why?'”
