Opinions mixed on Coulter televised “pissing contest”

Radio and television commentators across the ideological spectrum are debating the appropriateness of Ann Coulter's peeing on stage to taunt Michael Moore on Craig Fergusson's "Late Late Show" on Friday. The two had been invited for what was expected to be heated dissent, and at one point, after Moore told Coulter "Look, I'm not here for a pissing contest," Ms. Coulter brought her underclothes down and urinated in front of Moore on the stage.

Though some feel that it legitimizes lowering the debate to endorse Ms. Coulter's conduct, others have defended her, including former Republican speechwriter Peggy Noonan, who said "The establishment left has been, in the vernnacular, 'pissing up,' the airwaves, for many decades.  Ann is calling them on their bluff." Ms. Coulter's publicist, Larry Tribe, said "Look, I can think of at least a few episodes where people speaking for the left either defecate or show their opinions in other like fashion. Does that excuse Ann doing it? Maybe not. But then again, maybe it does."

Many saved their criticism for Moore's unseemly retort ("I'm surprised she doesn't have to stand up to do that"), and for his refusal to accept the challenge, and attempt to urinate a full 1/2 liter too. Other are buzzing about how urine collection containers were available on such short notice on the "Late Late Show" stage.

In an unfortunate and unexpected twist, Coulter is expected to be fined under the new federal indecency guidelines for the episode, and will have to pay $670 million for the 7 second portion of the segment as a result.
